This is a dedicated page to Local, new,
and or upcoming groups and artist.
Just another way to expose and
hopefully support either local, or new
groups.
King Ed and Pili Pili!
King Ed's soothing voice and timely bass strokes have a
way of calming the savage beast in us all. Mix that along
with the rhythmatic keystrokes of Magic fingers Don on
the keyboard, and what u have is an Explosion of late
night grooves. I personally recorded this group live in a
little beach bistro setting, ran it through some software
to clean it up, then, mixed it to keep it moving. Its one of
my favorite to listen to. Hope you enjoy it as much!
The night I met Spencer Gregg! Now here's a story for ya. I met
Spencer on a Gambling Boat on a New Years Eve. His band was
the guest band for the night. He found out that I was a Dee
Jay/Music Engineer, and the night started to get interesting. He
invited me to do the 10, 9, 8, 7, etc count down to bring in the
new year, and I had had just enough cognac in me to do it. Well,
a few cognacs later, I bumrushed (literally) the stage to help the
band with "Play that funky music white boy"! He kept asking me
to sing in key: Huh? Anyway, He was still nice enough to give me
a CD of him... check out his groove on the Axe.....Funktactically
Chillen!
More music on the way!!!!
Here's the next recording of King Ed and Pili Pili.
Recorded in a small restaurant setting, they proved their
diversity of being able to do what they do best, anywhere.
King Ed returns with his regular line up in self taught
musicians, but with 2 more talented musicians to
complete a group that can continually move and groove
an audience. Ed's bass lines are still as timely as ever,
and I'm convinced that magic fingers Don has a mind as
warped as his fingers in creating his key strokes. Now
let's introduce Soy. His range of lyrics from swooning the
ladies on Just be good to me, to his "Soy Blanca" rap
lines of 'rip out ya tongue' is what Pili Pili is all about! And
last but not least is a Sultry Songstress, Rachel, that
sounds like she could fit in anywhere from background to
lead: Folks, if live reggae is your thing, make room for
King Eddie and Pili Pili! Mixed as only Rayzors Edge can
do it.
